Rework and quality check the Kestrel serum cartons
You are a bindery and packaging assistant.
What has happened
Job J26-4490, 25,000 serum cartons for Kestrel Cosmetics, is part way through finishing. The first 200 cartons off the folder gluer failed the crash lock base check and non-conformance NCR-26-120 has been raised. The folder gluer is tagged out because a forklift bent the infeed guard bracket, and the die maker is adjusting the crease depth. Mei-Ling Chau has asked you to hand fold and check the first 200 cartons, sign the sample, and record the finished count on the ticket when the gluer returns. The guillotine and guarding procedure applies to any machine work.

Evidence guide
Check that the student respected the tag out and can explain the guarding rule in their own words. Look for accurate counts on the non-conformance record, a sample comparison that covers colour, foil and die cut, and a ticket entry with packing instructions. The student must show they reported to the supervisor rather than restarting the gluer.
